Metercam
The Metercam is a disk pickup sensor for electromechanical meters (rotating disk). The Metercam is built around an electronic camera without the many drawbacks found on usual photoelectric disk sensor, such as difficulty to align properly and sensitivity to ambient light.
With the Metercam, no adjustment or alignment is required since it seeks and locks automatically within a few seconds onto the disk itself! Furthermore, the Metercam is totally insensitive to light variations, including direct sunshine!
The Metercam is mounted on four suction cups installed directly on its backside. Thus the Metercam can be installed within a few seconds.
Optical Pickup
The Optical Pickup is an IR optical sensor for solid-state meters. It uses edge triggering sensing for less sensitivity to change in ambient light conditions.
Designed with the weakest pulses in mind, it is able to test all solid-state meters in any light condition.
Mounted with a suction cup, it is easy to install. On the top of the suction cup, there is a red LED that flashes when pulses are being sent by the meter.
For some meters a specific adapter is required. See below.
Focus Adapter
Some Focus meters have a triangular shape embedded into the glass which makes it difficult for the optical pickup's suction cup to hold.
We developed a small plexiglass adapter that allows customers to test these meters without moving or removing the glass.
Magnetic Adapter
For meters equipped with an optical port (metallic port), we offer a magnetic adapter that is placed over the optical port. The magnetic adapter uses a strong magnet material to obtain a solid grip over the optical port.
Once installed, the suction cup is stuck to the front of the magnetic adapter.
Latch
Made of stainless steel, the latch secures the tester over a ring-type meter base.
The latch can be removed easily for ringless meter bases.
ATK
The ATK is an accuracy testing kit which allows to check periodically the accuracy of the built-in watthour standard against a primary or secondary electronic watthour standard traceable to NIST.
The accuracy testing kit comes with a pulse interface, a BNC coaxial cable, an extension cable and a test jack. The test jack has a pair of #4 AWG current flexible leads (24 inches long) and a pair of #18 AWG voltage leads.
When ordering an accuracy testing kit, you must specify the model. The ATK‑3 is for the MT‑1/NT3 and the ATK‑4 is for the MT‑1/NT4.
